Our Classic grey Ines Breton has been featured in her Shopping stories round up. In such good company, we can't decide to go for the shoe of the season or not, but we will definitely be wearing a classic grey cashmere breton.

Gah, I just can’t stop with the hunt for the perfect straight fit (or ‘rigid’, as Vogue has chosen to go with – not 100% about that, but I see what they’re trying for) jeans. So this pair look extra perfect, but not only are they Toppers’s take on straight which has worked out extremely well for me so far, but they’re the petite version…

So have snapped them up before they go. The ballet shoe 2.0 (as cleverly coined by Pandora Sykes in Sunday Times Style mag today or – update! – the ‘granny shoe’ as Erica says on The Edited) is my other current weakness. Now the proud owner of not one, but two pairs and seriously considering more, given how damn comfy they are to wear. I can see me wearing these all through the spring without a shadow of sartorial doubt. Black actually is brilliant – I have a grey pair, but actually black somehow completes an outfit better; acts like a full-stop for want of a better analogy (it’s ain’t getting any better than this folks, I just ate half a tub of chocolate chip ice-cream!). So I bought black suede from H&M and a slightly higher pair from ASOS (just £32!)…

Now given how normcore (or should that be New Normal?) my wardrobe is these days – gorgeous cashmere with a twist is this Breton knit by Wyse London btw; the military-inspired button detailing is so perfect – it really is the ideal palette for something a little more adventurous. Hence I’ve been eyeing this leopard (although they say pony, I’m saying leopard) Bobi bag by Jerome Dreyfus. Bit of a style classic of his (partner of Isabel Marant, did you know?) and one that’s a little bit bohemian, a little slouchy but practical enough, which is kind of like all his bags. Basically plain dressing is made for bags like this, surely?
